Is HYCM Available in Canada? (2026 Check)
By ForexCanada Editorial Team · Updated
Canada check
HYCM holds licences outside Canada but is not registered with CIRO or any provincial securities regulator. If it accepts you, your account will normally be opened with an offshore group entity rather than its better-regulated subsidiaries — so CIPF coverage, CIRO margin rules and OBSI complaint handling do not apply. HYCM no longer accepts Canadian clients.

Our take on HYCM
HYCM is the forex arm of Hong Kong's Henyep Group, whose history in precious metals trading dates back to 1977. It no longer accepts Canadian clients.
HYCM benefits from the long history of its parent, Henyep Group, which dates back to 1977 in Hong Kong's bullion trade. For Canadians, though, history isn't the deciding factor: HYCM no longer accepts Canadian clients. MetaTrader traders have registered options such as FOREX.com and AvaTrade (via Friedberg Direct).
Verdict
Not available to Canadians.

How HYCM scores
Canadian protection carries 40% of the weight, so an unregistered firm can't outrank a registered one on price alone. See the full methodology.

Verify HYCM yourself
- Look for the firm on CIRO's list of dealers it regulates.
- Search the legal entity name in the CSA National Registration Search and check it is registered in your province.
- Confirm CIPF membership in the CIPF member directory.
- Search the CSA investor alerts for the brand name and any look-alike websites.
- Make sure the account agreement you sign names the same legal entity — not an offshore affiliate.

HYCM: frequently asked questions
Is HYCM regulated in Canada?
No. HYCM is not registered with CIRO or any provincial or territorial securities regulator, although it holds licences elsewhere (United Kingdom, Cyprus (EU), UAE (DIFC), Cayman Islands). Canadian protections such as CIPF coverage and OBSI complaint handling do not apply.
Can Canadians open an account with HYCM?
No. At our last check HYCM did not accept Canadian residents. Using a VPN or false address to get around this breaches the broker's terms and can put your funds at risk.
Does HYCM offer MetaTrader?
Yes — HYCM supports MT4 and MT5.
