Alpari Canada Review: Is It Regulated in Canada?
By ForexCanada Editorial Team · Updated
Canada check
Alpari is licensed only in offshore or light-touch jurisdictions (or not at all) and is not registered with any Canadian regulator. You would have no Canadian investor protection and limited practical recourse in a dispute. We could not confirm that it currently accepts Canadian residents — check its restricted-countries list before applying.

Our take on Alpari
Alpari International is the Mauritius-licensed successor of a brand that dates back to 1998. The brand's former UK arm entered administration after the January 2015 Swiss franc shock — a reminder of why segregation rules and compensation schemes matter.
Alpari's PAMM accounts, which let investors allocate money to other traders, were once a major draw. The brand's international business is now licensed in Mauritius. The collapse of its former U.K. arm in 2015 is a useful case study of why Canadian rules on capital, client-money segregation and compensation funds exist.

How Alpari scores
Canadian protection carries 40% of the weight, so an unregistered firm can't outrank a registered one on price alone. See the full methodology.
