Our take on IQ Option
IQ Option is an online platform best known for short-term "fixed time" or binary-style trades on currencies, crypto and other assets. Short-term binary options are prohibited for individuals throughout Canada, so no Canadian regulator has authorized IQ Option to offer them here. Platforms in this category often pay affiliates for sign-ups — which is why many 'reviews' still recommend them to Canadians. We don't.
Verdict
Do not use. If you have lost money with IQ Option or a similar platform, report it to your provincial securities regulator and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

No Canadian regulator has authorized IQ Option. Binary options with a term of less than 30 days cannot be offered to individuals in any Canadian province or territory, so any platform offering them to Canadians is doing so outside the law.
