Euro back above 1.02 US dollars

Friday, the euro made up for its losses from the day before. In early trading, the price of the common currency was $1.0210. On Thursday, it had dropped to $1.01, but was still worth a lot. Thursday afternoon, the European Central Bank (ECB) set the reference rate at $1.0122.

Euro is back above 1.02 US dollars

Before the weekend, there will be a huge amount of economic news in the Eurozone. There will be a lot of growth data for the second quarter and new data on inflation. The US central bank prefers the PCE inflation measure, which is published in the US. This week, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates sharply again as part of its fight against high inflation.
